bug report: menu bar redraw issue

Howdy,

Thanks very much for taking up the mantle for virtual desktop software on OS X. This is the only one that currently works on my intel-based powerbook.

Bug: Frequently when switching desktops, I get a menu bar where the text from two different programs has been overwritten, resulting in a muddled mess. It appears to me that the menu bar text that is not getting correctly erased is that for Adium, which I have set to appear on all desktops. So going from e.g. Firefox on one desktop to Mail.app on another, I end up with active Mail.app menus, but Adium’s menu text is still there.

I’d also like to add my voice to those anxiously calling for a desktop pager. It really helps with spatial orientation—knowing where you are in the set of desktops. Thanks very much for allowing a matrix of desktops, with up- and down-switching as well. That was one of my chief regrets about Desktop Manager. A really nice feature to shoot for is being able to drag windows from desktop to desktop on the pager.

Finally, while I appreciate very much the work you’ve done here, my dollars of appreciation may end up being sent to CodeTek instead of you. I absolutely love the focus-follows-mouse feature of CTVD, and if they get to market with a mactel version (Bill says “4 weeks”), I’m simply going to have to go with that solution.

Best Regards,

Andy Jacobson
